*Seed Matka and Seed Ball Activity Celebrated with Enthusiasm* With the aim of creating awareness about environmental conservation and tree plantation, the Department of Botany of Dattajirao Kadam Arts, Science and Commerce College, Ichalkaranji, enthusiastically organized an eco-friendly activity titled "Seed Matka and Seed Ball". In this activity, students collected seeds of various native trees and prepared *Seed Balls* from them. Also, under the *Seed Matka* activity, students were guided about conservation of seeds and sowing them at appropriate places. Through this activity, awareness was created among students about environmental protection, biodiversity conservation and tree conservation.   *'Cococraft: From Waste to Wonder - Beautiful Art from Coconut Waste' Program Celebrated with Enthusiasm at Dattajirao Kadam Arts, Science and Commerce College, Ichalkaranji on World Coconut Day* Ichalkaranji: The Department of Botany and IQAC of Dattajirao Kadam Arts, Science and Commerce College, Ichalkaranji, jointly organized an innovative program titled 'Cococraft – From Waste to Wonder' on the occasion of World Coconut Day, on 2nd September 2026 in the college auditorium.   " Floral arrangement and Floral rangoli program successfully held in the Botany Department" A Floral Arrangement and Floral Rangoli program was organized by the Department of Botany, Dattajirao Kadam Arts, Science and Commerce College, Ichalkaranji, on 28th August 2026. The program was presided over by the Principal of the college, Dr. S. K. Khade, who guided the students on flower arrangement, uses of flowers, as well as indoor and outdoor plants and their care. The Head of the Department of Botany, Dr. S. T. Ingle, explained the floral arrangement and its commercial importance. वनस्पती शास्त्र विभागाचा फ्रेशर्स डे संपन्न  दिनांक: 09/09/2025 दत्ताजीराव कदम आर्ट सायन्स व कॉमर्स महाविद्यालयातील वनस्पतीशास्त्र विभागातील एम.एससी.प्रथम वर्ष च्या विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी फ्रेशर्स डे चे आयोजन करण्यात आले होते. सन 2025- 26 साठी महाविद्यालयामध्ये वनस्पतीशास्त्र विभागा त एम. एस सी. साठी प्रवेश घेतलेल्या प्रथम वर्षाच्या विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी द्वितीय वर्षाच्या विद्यार्थ्यांनी फ्रेशर्स डे चे आयोजन केले होते. यावेळी  द्वितीय वर्षाच्या विद्यार्थ्यांनी प्रथम वर्षाच्या विद्यार्थ्यांना पुष्प व  प्रेझेंट देऊन त्यांचं स्वागत केले. या कार्यक्रमाचे प्रास्ताविक व स्वागत विभागाचे प्रमुख प्रा. डॉ. सुभाष इंगळे यांनी केले त्यांनी महाविद्यालयाच्या सुविधांची माहिती दिली. या कार्यक्रमाचे अध्यक्ष महाविद्यालयाचे प्राचार्य प्रो. डॉ. शंकर खाडे सर होते. त्यांनी विद्यार्थ्यांना मार्गदर्शन करताना सांगितले की कठोर परिश्रमा शिवाय पर्याय नाही. आपल्या जीवनामध्ये संधीचे सोनं करण्यासाठी आपल्याला प्रयत्न करावेच लागतील. आणि वनस्पती शास्त्र विषयांमध्ये अनेक संधी आहेत परिस्थितीचा कोणताही न्यूनगंड न ठेवत...

 वनस्पतीशास्त्र विभागातर्फे एक्झिबिशन ऑफ हर्बल प्रॉडक्ट चे प्रदर्शन संपन्न  दिनांक 12 सप्टेंबर 2025.   वनस्पतीशास्त्र विभागातर्फे एक्झिबिशन ऑफ हर्बल प्रोडक्ट हा कर्यक्रम संपन्न झाला. या कार्यक्रमासाठी वनस्पतीशास्त्र विभागातील बीएससी भाग तीन या विद्यार्थ्यांनी हर्बल प्रॉडक्ट तयार  करून त्याचे प्रेझेंटेशन केले. तसेच या कार्यक्रमासाठी अध्यक्ष म्हणून प्राचार्य प्रोफेसर (डॉ.) एस. के. खाडे होते. त्यांनी आपल्या अध्यक्षीय मनोगतामध्ये भारतीय प्राचीन परंपरांमध्ये आयुर्वेदाचे महत्त्व आणि त्याचे उपयोग याबद्दल माहिती दिली.  तसेच तुळस, कडुलिंब, कोरफड, दुधी भोपळा यासारख्या औषधे वनस्पतीचे महत्व विशद केले.  औषधी उत्पादने नैसर्गिकपणे तयार करून तुम्ही उद्योजक बनू शकता. तसेच आजच्या धावपळीच्या आणि रसायन युक्त जीवनशैलीत लोक पुन्हा नैसर्गिक पर्यायांकडे वळत आहेत. त्यामुळे हर्बल उत्पादनाची मागणी जगभरात झपाट्याने वाढत आहे. या नवीन व्यवसायाच्या संधी निर्माण झाल्या आहेत. विद्यार्थ्यांनी या औषधी वनस्पतीची पिके घेऊन आर्थिक दृष्ट्या सक्षम होण्यासाठी प्रयत्न करावेत.  वनस्पतीशास्...
